I started HM Sound & Events because I genuinely believed wedding evenings could feel different. Less cheesy. Less scripted. Less like the same playlist every weekend.
For me, great wedding DJing is about reading the room properly and building the energy naturally. Expect quick, club-style mixing, fresh remixes of the floor fillers you love, and a night that feels like you, not like every other wedding.
Over the years I've played some of the North West's best-known venues and picked up award recognition along the way. But it's never been about awards. It's about the moments people remember long after the final track.

How do I book?
Pop your date into the enquiry form. We'll check the diary and, if we're free, send your brochure with our three setups, set times and prices. You can book straight from it by choosing your setup, signing your contract and paying your £100 deposit online. Or, if you'd rather talk first, book a relaxed 30-minute call with Harry from the same brochure.
How does the planning work?
Once you've booked, you'll get access to your own online planning portal. That's where you set your evening timings, choose songs for your key moments, add your must-plays and do-not-plays, and share anything else we should know, like how to pronounce your names or where the DJ setup should go. You can update it as often as you like. Around six weeks before the wedding, we'll have a final call to go through it all together.
How long will you play for?
Every setup includes a 5-hour evening DJ set. Want the party to run longer? You can add up to 2 extra hours at £50 an hour when you choose your setup.
What services do you offer?
Wedding DJ packages in three setup styles (Classic, Rustic and LED), plus DJ hire for corporate events, birthdays and private parties. Every booking includes professional sound and lighting, and venue uplighting can be added for £100 when you book.
Do you DJ parties and corporate events?
Yes. Weddings are the speciality, but birthdays, Christmas parties, proms and corporate events get exactly the same standard: seamless mixing, a soundtrack built around your guests and a dancefloor that stays busy. Pop your date into the form and we'll send your brochure.
Do you take a deposit?
Yes. A £100 deposit secures your date, and the remaining balance is due 30 days before your event. If you book within 30 days of the event, the full amount is due at booking.
Can I request specific songs?
Absolutely. In your planning portal you can mark up to 10 must-play songs and add as many suggestions as you like to show us the vibe you're after, with comments on individual tracks if you want. There's also a do-not-play list for anything you'd rather not hear, and you can pass on your guests' requests too.
Can we chat before we book?
Of course. Every brochure has the option to book a relaxed 30-minute video call with Harry, so we can talk through your plans and make sure we're the right fit. Once you've booked, everything is planned together through your portal, with your final planning call around six weeks before the day.
How early should I book?
As early as you can. Popular Saturdays and peak-season dates go quickly. That said, plans change, so if your date is coming up soon, get in touch and we'll do our best to help.
What equipment do you use?
Professional, industry-standard DJ equipment, premium speakers and intelligent lighting, chosen to sound great and look clean in your venue.
Are you insured?
Yes, we're fully insured, for your peace of mind and your venue's.
What happens if something goes wrong on the night?
Backup equipment comes to every event, so most issues are fixed in moments without the dancefloor noticing. In the rare event of a major problem, we have a network of trusted professionals on hand to help.
